Battery holder arrangement for a hybrid vehicle
The present invention relates to a support arrangement of a battery for powering an electric machine on board a hybrid motor vehicle.
There are certain vehicles of the hybrid vehicle type (vehicles called HEV "Hybrid Electric Vehicle" or PHEV "Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle" in English terminology), which include a small electrical device, designated by the acronym "SED" (for "Small Electric Device").
Such a small electrical device comprises an electrical machine on board the vehicle, which can perform one or more of the following functions such as providing power and assistance torque to the engine of the vehicle, especially in the starting, accelerating and rolling phases. , generally at low speed and / or low speed, or provide the energy necessary to restart the engine after a temporary stop (function called "stop and start" in English terminology).
Vehicles are known where the small electrical device is fixed in a region behind the backrest of the rear seat of the vehicle (rank 2), for example on a front portion of the rear floor of the body structure. Also, such a small electrical device is supplied with electricity by a battery pack, typically a 48 volts battery. A volume must be reserved for the integration of the battery at the rear of the vehicle.
There is therefore a need for a battery support arrangement at the rear part of the vehicle, which is simple to mount and facilitates the implantation of the battery, without disrupting the integration of the multiple functions related to the specificities of the small electrical device implanted.
This object is achieved by means of a support arrangement of a battery for powering an electric machine on board a hybrid motor vehicle comprising a rear floor of a body provided with a concave recess for receiving a spare wheel, characterized in that it comprises an elongated support member adapted to extend transversely to said rear floor of the body and overhanging said concave recess for receiving the spare wheel, said support element comprising a longitudinal cross-member at the base of which are arranged two opposed holding arms adapted to protrude inwardly of said housing and defining between them a receiving zone of said battery inside said housing.
With this arrangement, the battery is integrated into said housing instead of the spare wheel of the vehicle, which allows not to penalize the useful volume of the trunk of the vehicle.
Advantageously, said battery, in position in said receiving zone inside said concave housing, is substantially flush with said rear body floor.
Preferably, said holding arms project into said housing substantially in the vicinity of a cylindrical side wall delimiting said concave housing.
Advantageously, said arrangement comprises a rigid protective plate fixed between the two holding arms so as to define transversely said receiving zone of said battery inside said concave housing.
Advantageously, said elongated support member has attachment points on said rear deck floor, said attachment points being arranged on side portions of said support member disposed at respective ends of said support member.
Preferably, said lateral portions of said elongate support member comprise means for positioning said elongated support member relative to said rear deck floor, in particular relative to a transverse longitudinal plane of said rear deck floor.
Advantageously, said positioning means comprise at least one positioning pin extending in a direction substantially normal to the plane of said lateral portions of said elongated support member and adapted to pass through a corresponding orifice formed on said rear floor of the body.
Preferably, said elongated support member comprises gripping handles located on either side of said battery receiving zone along the longitudinal axis of the support member and adapted to cooperate with a mounting assistance means for handling and placing said support member on said rear deck floor.
Advantageously, the elongated support element comprises means for supporting a motor-fan unit inside the concave recess housing of spare wheel.
Preferably, said support means of the motor-fan unit comprise a support flange adapted to be fixed to one of said holding arms, opposite said battery receiving zone with respect to said holding arm. Other features and advantages of the invention will appear on reading the following description of a particular embodiment of the invention, given by way of indication but not limitation, with reference to the appended figures in which: Figure 1 shows a perspective view of a battery support arrangement at the rear of a vehicle according to one embodiment of the invention; FIG. 2 is an exploded view of the support element used in the support arrangement shown in FIG. 1; Fig. 3 shows the battery support arrangement of Fig. 1, shown in its mounting environment.
In the present description, the terms front, rear, refer to the front and rear directions of the vehicle. The X, Y, Z axes correspond respectively to the longitudinal axis (front to back), transverse (right) and vertical (upward) of the vehicle.
In the present text, the term "substantially" indicates that a slight deviation from a given nominal position or orientation is allowed without departing from the scope of the invention. For example "substantially vertical" indicates that an inclination of the order of 10 ° relative to a strictly vertical orientation is allowed within the scope of the invention.
FIG. 1 represents a support arrangement in a motor vehicle for a battery (referenced 1 in FIG. 3), intended to power a small electrical device implanted in the vehicle (not represented) and dedicated to the assistance of the thermal motor. In this figure, there is shown a rear body structure 2 of the motor vehicle, comprising two side edges or housings 21, 22, extending longitudinally between which can be fixed a plate 23 extending in a substantially longitudinal transverse plane and forming thus a rear floor of cash. The rear body floor 23 of the vehicle is further formed of a concave housing 24 constituting a spare wheel receiving tray. The concave dish 24, in the form of a bowl, comprises a cylindrical side wall 25 and a bottom wall 26. The bottom wall 26 of the concave housing 24 forming a spare tire receiving tray and the plate of the rear floor of the body 23 are included in respective different planes and normal to the Z axis.
According to the invention, the support arrangement for the battery 1 comprises an elongate support member 3 extending transversely to the rear body floor 23, overhanging the concave housing 24, and for supporting the battery in a position in which the latter is placed inside the concave housing 24, instead of the spare wheel. The support member 3 is thus positioned immediately in front of and above the concave recess housing 24 for receiving the spare wheel. The support element 3 preferably consists of two parallel longitudinal crosspieces 31, 32 extending on the rear floor of the body between the two side members 21, 22, respectively a front longitudinal cross member located immediately in front of the concave housing 24 and a longitudinal rear cross-member overhanging said housing, and interconnected by transverse uprights 33 in particular at their respective ends, so that the elongate support member 3 has a generally quadrilateral shape. The longitudinal crosspieces and the transverse uprights forming the elongate support element are for example assembled by welding. This quadrilateral is positioned transversely on the rear body floor 23 so as to overlie the concave housing 24, substantially in front of it. The support element 3 furthermore has opposite lateral parts 35, 36 made up, for example, of sheet metal parts forming planar supports, assembled for example by welding at the respective ends of the support element 3, and intended to provide the attaching the support member to the rear floor of the body. These lateral parts 35, 36 of the support element 3 are provided with fixing points 350, 360 intended to be fixed to the rear floor of the body 23, on either side of the concave housing 24, so as to allow the fixing of the support element 3 directly on the rear body floor 23. According to the exemplary embodiment illustrated, there are two attachment points 350 distributed on a first lateral portion 35 of the support member 3 and three attachment points 360 distributed on the other lateral portion 36, located at the opposite of the first lateral portion 35. These attachment points 350, 360 arranged at the side portions 35, 36 of the support member 3 allow a fixation according to the vertical axis of the support member 3 to the rear floor of the body, for example by means of fixing screws cooperating with corresponding fastening structures arranged on the rear floor of the body. The fixing points arranged at the side portions of the support member are distributed so as to allow attachment to and / or in the immediate vicinity of the lateral edges 21, 22 of the rear body floor 23.
The lateral parts 35, 36 of the support element 3 furthermore comprise positioning means 351, 361 intended to allow the support element 3 to be positioned relative to the rear floor of the body 23 and in particular to allow its positioning relative to the transverse longitudinal plane of the rear body floor 23, so as to overhang the concave housing 24 and thus allow, as will be explained later, to support the battery 1 in a position where it is integrated inside the concave housing 24. According to the exemplary embodiment, these positioning means comprise a positioning pin 351, 361 respectively arranged on each of the two opposite lateral parts 35, 36. These positioning pins extend in a direction substantially normal to the plane of the parts. side of the support member (substantially along the vertical axis) and are intended to pass through a corrugated hole a respondent arranged on the rear body floor 23 when the support member 3 is attached to the rear body floor 23.
In order to support the battery 1, the longitudinal cross member 32 of the support member 3 is provided with two opposed holding arms 37, 38, disposed vertically above the longitudinal cross member 32, so as to project towards the The two holding arms 37, 38 are spaced apart from one another in the transverse direction Y and thus define between them a receiving zone of the battery 1 inside the concave housing 24. The two holding arms 37, 38 are arranged at the level of the longitudinal cross member 32 so as to project substantially vertically downwardly into the concave housing 24 substantially in the vicinity of the cylindrical lateral wall 25 delimiting the concave housing 24. They are preferably arranged substantially in the extension of a transverse amount 33 interconnecting the two longitudinal crosspieces 31, 32. The two holding arms 37, 38 co furthermore, battery attachment points 370, 380 are provided for fixing the battery 1 inside the concave housing 24 when it is mounted therein. These fixing points 370, 380 arranged at the level of the holding arms 37, 38 allow the battery 1 to be fixed to the holding arms 37, 38 along a horizontal axis, preferably in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, for example by means of screws fastening cooperating with corresponding fastening structures arranged at the battery. When the battery is thus fixed in the battery receiving zone inside said concave housing, it is substantially flush with the rear floor of the body. The support element 3 also incorporates a rigid protection plate 4, intended to be mounted behind the battery between the two holding arms 37, 38, so as to extend transversely in the concave housing 24, when the support member 3 is attached to the rear floor of the body. Advantageously, the fixing points 370, 380 of the battery on the holding arms 37, 38 can be used to fix the rigid protection plate 4 to the holding arms 37, 38. The receiving zone of the battery 1, which is extending between the two holding arms 37, 38 is thus delimited transversely inside the concave housing 24 by the rigid protection plate 4.
It is further provided, at each of the holding arms 37, 38 of the battery, a reinforcing means 39, extending opposite the rigid protective plate 4 relative to the holding arms 37, 38. It is for example in the form of a square-shaped sheet metal part, fixed for example by welding, between the holding arm and the corresponding transverse post. The reinforcing means thus make it possible to reinforce the mechanical strength of the holding arms 37, 38.
According to one embodiment of the invention, the support element 3 is designed to integrate functions other than that for the implantation and maintenance of the battery 1 inside the receiving housing 24 of the wheel. rescue of the vehicle.
In particular, according to the exemplary embodiment, the support element 3 comprises means for supporting a motor-fan unit 5 inside the concave recess housing of spare wheel. Such a motor-fan unit is indeed necessary for the cooling of the battery 1. To do this, as illustrated with reference to FIG. 3, the circulation of air necessary for the cooling of the battery 1 is ensured by means of a suction duct 51 for sucking air into the passenger compartment of the vehicle, the air then traveling through the battery 1 to cool it, then flows through a conduit 52 to a suction pump 53 , before emerging through an extraction duct 54 disposed downstream of the pump 53. The support means of the motor-fan unit 5 on the support member 3 are more particularly designed to allow the suction pump 53 of the group to be fixed. motorcycle fan 5 inside the spare tire receiving housing when the support member is attached to the rear floor of the body. The support means are for example in the form of a support flange 55 extending in a vertical longitudinal plane opposite the battery receiving zone with respect to the longitudinal cross member 32. The support flange 55 is fixed , for example by means of fastening screws, to one of the holding arms 38 and to the longitudinal cross-member 32. It is furthermore provided with fastening means 56 making it possible to fasten the suction pump 53 of the motor-fan unit 5 on the supporting flange of the support member 3. The fixing means 56 are for example in the form of fixing lugs extending substantially in a direction normal to the plane of the support flange and are intended to be inserted into corresponding mounting apertures of the pump 53 when the latter is mounted on the support flange 55.
Finally, according to the exemplary embodiment, the support element 3 comprises gripping handles 6, preferably arranged in pairs vis-à-vis on the longitudinal cross members of the support element. The handles 6 are preferably situated on either side of the battery receiving zone along the longitudinal axis of the elongated support element 3. Each of these gripping handles 6 is for example constituted by a bent wire forming a arch, fixed at each of its ends on a longitudinal cross member of the support member. The gripping handles 6 thus fixed to the support member are adapted to cooperate with a mounting assistance means for handling and placing the support member on the rear floor of the body. In particular, a tool having the shape of a fork with two horizontal carrying longitudinal members intended to cooperate with the gripping handles 6, can be used for handling the support element, in particular for lifting and installing or removing the support element . The "all-in-one" integration with the support element 3 of the various functions described above makes it possible to prepare the assembly at the edge of the assembly line, before being put in place in the vehicle. This facilitates the assembly operation and implementation of these functions within the vehicle, and keeps good ergonomics in preparation at the edge of the chain, rather than multiple interventions inside the vehicle.
